Glewstone Court Wedding
Emily and Matthew’s wedding in Herefordshire
Emily and Matthew married outside at Glewstone Court, near Ross-on-Wye, with their guests looking out across the lawn and countryside. Inside the house, Emily’s dress hung at the window before the preparations: shoes being fastened, the big bow at the back of her dress and a bouquet tied with a long burgundy ribbon.
The outdoor photographs are full of people leaning in for hugs, laughing together and crowding around the two of them. The lawns gave Emily and Matthew space to walk, turn and pull each other close. There are veil portraits, a kiss in the aisle and, after dark, a piggyback.
Back indoors, the story carries on around the tables and under the curved staircase. The faces at the meal, in the doorway and gathered around the couple hold this set together.
Planning your wedding photographs at Glewstone Court
The lawn at Glewstone Court appears in these photographs in two different ways: as a broad ceremony setting, with guests and countryside in the frame, and as a space for close portraits. Emily and Matthew’s gallery includes both. The house gives the pictures a sense of place without needing to be the background in every photograph.
Inside, the window light and curved staircase change the feel again. If you’re planning photographs here, those indoor settings are worth considering alongside the gardens. A short list of essential group photographs also leaves room for the cheering, hugs and changing expressions around them, as you can see in the wedding-party pictures.
