Stone Barn, Cotswolds

Liz & Harvey’s Stone Barn wedding
Church vows, garden music and a barn full of friends
Liz and Harvey’s day took us from preparations by the water to a church ceremony, then on to Stone Barn in the Cotswolds. The photographs follow the small moments as well as the obvious ones: Harvey laughing with his friends, Liz’s dress being fastened, her bridesmaids gathering round, and the two of them coming back down the aisle together.
At Stone Barn, guests spread out into the garden while musicians played among them. Inside, long wooden tables and greenery filled the barn. There were speeches, raised glasses and plenty happening at the tables; a few of those photographs were taken on the guest camera, giving a different view of the meal.
For their portraits, Liz and Harvey stepped into the field and spent a little time around the barn’s doorways and courtyard. Those quieter photographs sit alongside the confetti, hugs and crowded dance floor. I’ve kept the guest-camera pictures in the story too, with the film-inspired finish I give them.

Planning your photographs at Stone Barn
Stone Barn is near Upper Windrush, between Burford and Northleach in Gloucestershire. Liz and Harvey’s gallery gives you a look at a reception there: guests outside with live music, dinner at long tables and a busy dance floor beneath the barn roof.
For photographs, the field gave us open space, while the courtyard and barn doorways brought the buildings into the pictures. If you like both, we can plan a short portrait break around the light and what is happening with your guests. Liz and Harvey had their ceremony at a church, so the church photographs in this gallery show a separate part of their day.
Stone Barn wedding questions
Where is Stone Barn?
Stone Barn is near Upper Windrush in Gloucestershire, between Burford and Northleach in the Cotswolds. You can find directions and current venue information on the Stone Barn website.
Did Liz and Harvey have their ceremony at Stone Barn?
Their ceremony was in a church, followed by their reception at Stone Barn. The church interior, aisle and confetti photographs appear first in the gallery, before the photographs of the barns and garden.
Where can we take couple portraits at Stone Barn?
This gallery includes portraits in the field, in the courtyard and by the barn doorways. We can choose where to go on the day according to the light and how much time you want to spend away from the reception.
Why do some of the photographs have a different look?
I give guests a camera to use during the wedding, then edit those photographs with a film-inspired finish. They add the view from inside the meal and on the dance floor, alongside the photographs I take.
