The Temple of Minerva and The Ivy

Laura and Cameron married at the Temple of Minerva in Bath’s Botanical Gardens, then celebrated at The Ivy. Laura’s lace gloves, the bridesmaids’ pale dresses and white-and-green flowers appear throughout the morning photographs, alongside Cameron and his friends in black tie.

There was plenty happening around the ceremony: glasses raised while Laura got ready, guests waiting beneath the trees, and confetti as the couple walked through the ribboned arch. We took their portraits around the garden paths and at the temple doorway, keeping the people and the setting together in the photographs.

At The Ivy, the long table, framed pictures and red seating changed the colour and feel of the day. The gallery follows the toasts and reactions around the table before the party, with a few guest-camera photographs among them. By the end, there were raised arms, drinks in hand and plenty of movement on the dance floor.

Planning photographs between the gardens and The Ivy

The Temple of Minerva is in Bath’s Botanical Gardens. The Ivy Bath Brasserie & Garden, where Laura and Cameron held their reception, is on Milsom Street.

For a wedding using both, I’d plan the group photographs and a short portrait walk before leaving the gardens. Laura and Cameron’s pictures show how the temple doorway, trees and paths can give you different photographs without needing a long list of separate locations. Leave room in the schedule for getting everyone to the reception, then we can concentrate on the people and reactions around the tables.

That is how Laura and Cameron arranged their day: a ceremony at the Temple of Minerva, followed by their reception at The Ivy Bath. They are separate venues, so you’ll need to check availability with each and allow time to move between them.

Where did Laura and Cameron have their couple photographs taken?

The gallery includes portraits at the temple doorway and along the paths and grassy areas in the gardens. We took the garden photographs before the reception, so the later part of the story could stay with their guests at The Ivy.
